Are you a law firm?
No, and we are careful about the line. We run the back office of a law firm — the practice-management platform, the trust accounting, the books and the filings. Legal work itself goes to our exclusive legal partner for corporate, real estate, privacy and consumer-protection matters, or to senior counsel in our national network when a matter needs a specialist.
We are not on LEAP Legal yet. Can you move us?
Yes — that is most of the work. Matters, precedents and balances migrate across from PCLaw, Cosmolex or a manual system, your document templates and matter workflows get rebuilt, and every level of the firm is trained on it: partners, associates, paralegals and admin.
Will the trust accounting satisfy our Law Society?
It is configured to the rules of the province you practise in, and reconciled monthly rather than at year-end. Trust entries are permanent by design — a wrong one is reversed, never removed — which is what an auditor expects to find when they look.
Can you really incorporate a company without a lawyer?
For a standard federal or provincial formation, yes — in-house, at a flat $1,000, in any of CBCA, OBCA, ABCA or BCBCA. Corporate structuring, contracts, partnership and shareholder agreements and annual maintenance run the same way. Anything that is not standard goes to counsel, and we will say so rather than stretch.
