Strategy that ends
in something shipped.
Strategy, global trade, lean operations, and government programs — led by people who have built and run businesses across several sectors and continents. We stay through execution rather than handing over a deck, and we tell you early when something isn’t worth doing.
Every path the model ran for one cross-border engagement. Four are carried into the plan; the labelled one is the recommendation.
Built for an interconnected world.
Five principles behind how we work.
A network that crosses borders.
VertAcc’s consultancy practice operates at international scale. Growth-stage operators and established enterprises engage us to identify real opportunities across jurisdictions — emerging-market expansion, cross-border partnerships, government-backed industrial programs, and the tax and regulatory structures that hold them together.
We carry working specialization across the sectors our clients move in: technology and AI, robotics and unmanned systems, energy and resources, infrastructure, real estate, financial services, manufacturing, defence, agriculture, and digital assets. Each year our team attends CES and the major sector summits to map what’s coming next — and what it means for the businesses we advise.
We maintain an active network of startup founders, multinational executives, sovereign-fund directors, and policymakers across multiple regions. Those relationships aren’t decoration; they’re the bridge to a real introduction, a real partnership, and a real read on what’s viable in a market.
Strategy that pressure-tests itself.
Every engagement is grounded in analysis. We build proprietary financial models, scenario projections, and AI-assisted prediction modelling that pressure-test the plan against macroeconomic, geopolitical, regulatory, and sector-specific variables.
We don’t deliver a single recommendation and disappear — we walk you through Plan A, then Plan B, C, and D. Contingencies are built in for currency shifts, regulatory turns, supply-chain disruption, and political risk. The result is a plan that doesn’t break the first time the environment changes.
Senior people, every domain.
Our team carries genuine sector expertise — not generalists reading playbooks. Operators who’ve structured cross-border deals, lawyers and former regulators who’ve seen how compliance frameworks actually get enforced, engineers who understand the technology stack you’re betting on, and analysts who can read a currency-risk position.
When the right person isn’t in-house, we bring them in from our network. You get senior attention from the first conversation — not a junior team grinding through the work while a partner skims the output on Friday.
The same rigour, without the brand-name markup.
We’re not a brand-name global consultancy and we don’t price like one. Firms doing comparable work often charge multiples of what we do — not because the work justifies the cost, but because the pricing model is built into how those firms recover their overhead. We don’t carry that overhead.
We charge fairly for senior work, and we’d rather see clients re-engage us year over year than extract a single seven-figure invoice. The rigour, the analysis, and the senior attention are the same. The cost isn’t.
Plans that survive contact with the world.
Geopolitical realignment, social shifts, currency volatility, and rapid technological change aren’t edge cases anymore — they’re the operating environment. Every plan we deliver accounts for them.
Regulatory compliance, legal complexity, multi-jurisdictional tax and financial requirements — we navigate the structures that turn international opportunity into something a board can defend. We help clients build operations that don’t just succeed in clear weather, but endure in difficult conditions.
Where we do our best work.

The questions worth asking any consultant.
How do you charge?
A scope and a fee agreed before the work starts, not a running meter. We are not a brand-name global consultancy and we do not price like one — firms doing comparable work often charge multiples of what we do, because that pricing recovers an overhead we do not carry. We would rather be re-engaged next year than extract one seven-figure invoice.
Who actually does the work?
Senior people, from the first conversation. Not a junior team grinding through the work while a partner skims the output on Friday. When the right specialist is not in-house — a former regulator, an engineer who knows the stack you are betting on, counsel in the jurisdiction you are entering — we bring them in from our network.
Do you stay after the strategy is written?
That is the point of the practice. Business plans and financial models are the start; scoping, partner introductions, and hands-on execution support are the rest of it. A deck we hand over and leave is not a deliverable we sell.
What if the honest answer is that we should not do it?
You get that answer early, while it is still cheap. Every plan is pressure-tested against currency shifts, regulatory turns, supply-chain disruption and political risk, and sometimes the model says the opportunity is not there. Telling you in month one is worth more than a plan that fails in month nine.
Do you work outside Canada?
Cross-border is most of what we do — emerging-market expansion, international partnerships, government-backed industrial programs, and the tax and regulatory structures that hold them together. We keep an active network of founders, multinational executives, sovereign-fund directors and policymakers across several regions, and local counsel where a jurisdiction requires it.
Which sectors do you genuinely know?
Technology and AI, robotics and unmanned systems, energy and resources, infrastructure, real estate, financial services, manufacturing, defence, agriculture and digital assets. Our team attends CES and the major sector summits each year specifically to keep that current rather than remembered.
